We Support Our Teachers

The Hammer Montessori Foundation is grateful for its teachers – you teach and inspire these kids with a limited public school budget.  HMF’s goal is to support teachers so that they do not need to use their own funds to equip their classes.

HMF has budgeted the following for each teacher for the 2025-2026 school year:
– Classroom teachers: $1200 supplies (Montessori & classroom supplies) + $150 training = $1350 total
– Full-time support teachers: $600 classroom supplies
– Part-time teachers/support staff who work with students: $400 classroom supplies (or for PE, library, etc.)

 

Teacher reimbursement procedure:

Email the following to contact@hammerfoundation.org and treasurer@(same):
– Subject line: Teacher reimbursement
– Text body: Include the total reimbursement needed
– Attach all of the receipts as images
We will write checks at our next HMF meeting (schedule here) and then give them to the front office staff to distribute to you.  If you have not received a reimbursement within a few days of our the next HMF meeting, please check in with us to make sure we are aligned.

Notes / the details / the fine print:
  1. Funds do not roll over to the next year – if you don’t use them this school year, this year’s funds will not be available to you next year.  (However, next year’s funds will be available next year – though budgeted quantities could change).
  2. We write reimbursement checks at HMF meetings because checks require dual signatures, and those are the only times we are together.
  3. Our last date to write checks for the 2025-2026 school  year is the 2nd Tuesday of May, 5/5/26.  Please submit your final reimbursements for this school year by Monday 5/4/26 to make sure we can get checks signed.  (But if you miss it? Email us and we’ll try to work it out)
